Oasis International Gift Delivery

A great opportunity to bless international families this holiday season!

Oasis International Gift Delivery

Once again, Southgate Crestwood Church has the privilege in participating in Oasis Internationals Gift Delivery. Oasis International has spent the last several decades serving families seeking refuge right here in the greater St. Louis area, and the Gift Delivery is a way to bless and give to these families in our City. To read more about the amazing ministry they have, click here!

You can sign up to purchase gifts for a family on Sunday Mornings here at Southgate Crestwood Church, at the Welcome Desk. You can choose a family or families to buy gifts for and then arrange delivery with the family directly.

Delivery Guidelines

Deliver before 12/22 is best. Oasis will be closed 12/19-1/2.

Text your family the day before your visit. Example: "This is Oasis International, I'm just checking your address. Is this the (insert family name) at (insert family address)? If confirmed, say "We are friends of Oasis International and would like to come by and bring some Christmas gifts for you. We will be at your home tomorrow, (specific day and time: e.g. Wednesday at 1:00pm). We will text you before we come. Please let me know if you will be home. Thank you."

Your Visit

Text them before you come. Go to the door first without the gifts and make sure it is the correct family, then get your gifts. Almost always they will invite you in. You can encourage them to open their gifts. Sometimes they do, and sometimes they open them after you are gone.

Engage with your family

If their English is not good, you can use google translate. Some things you can talk about could include

  • Ask about their family. How are the kids doing in school?
  • Ask about their jobs or country's traditions
  • Smile a lot!

Problems Connecting

You may have to try a few times to reach them. Please contact Lynn Renaud, she can connect you with someone who speaks their language and speaks English.

Thank you for going the extra mile to love the foreigner in our city!
